More and better aid. Trade justice. Drop the debt.
Im gunna get da white band tomorrow at Oxfam, it only costs $2 each. Im thinking of buying lots so i can post it to my brother cos he wants one. He also wants the Nike Lance Armstrong LIVESTRONG wristband where da proceeds go to the Lance Armstrong Foundation to help people with cancer on their living. Anyway, da white band should be worn everyday especially July 1 (2 more days to go), September 10 and December 10. Below are some events happening in Brisbane regarding the campaign:
Brisbane - 30 June 2005
Sunset Festival at the Roma St Parklands from 5pm. Bands include Onion, Moot, The Picture Book, Remedy and Matt Nelson. You will be able to buy a whiteband, sign a petition and hear people talk about aid, fair trade, debt and poverty.

Brisbane - 2 July 2005
Brisbane MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY supporters and music lovers will get to "party locally, think globally" at a free public screening of the international "Live 8" concerts at South Bank's Suncorp Piazza at South Brisbane on Saturday July 2, from 9.30pm until 1.30am. Join the local crowd tuning in as part of a global 2-billion strong audience to see acts including U2, Bob Geldof, REM, Coldplay, Madonna, Annie Lennox, Robbie Williams, Snoop Dogg, Stereophonics, Sting, Travis and UB40.
Buy and wear a white White Band - available on the night - and sign campaign postcards to show your support for the MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY campaign.
The event will start in the Suncorp Piazza at 8.30pm with pre-concert-screening entertainment and info, including a live local acoustic performance, speakers and selling of White Bands.
