Ahh Im still feeling sick.. planned to go to the bank only today but while I was chatting wid Aka on MSN, I decided to go out and shop wid her. So after I went to the bank, I met up wid Aka at Toowong train station. We both were hungry so we had fish teriyaki at this Japanese place in Toowong Village. After that we went to Indooroopilly Shopping Centre and grabbed some drinks from Gloria Jean's mmm Yummy!

Aka bought a blue Care Bear cushion.. cuuuuute! She also bought a pair of earrings. I dont remember what other things she bought.. byk bah! We also went to Bra n Things hehe. Then we went to my place and I tried on her earrings. Yes, I now can put on earrings YaY!! Thanks to Aka who re-pierced my ear lobe hehe

I got all excited about it and so we went back to Diva and I bought 2 pairs of earrings. After that, we stopped by at Valley Girl and I bought another 2 pairs of earrings hehe sakai bah aku ah.. cant blame me, lama dah aku inda beranting2 ani. Aka bought a black skirt *w00t w00t* hehe aku memaksa bah! but its true it looks good on her.

Then we both went home. Oh by the way, I bought clam and zucchini and deep fried tofu sushis.. they are so so good.. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Exam + Party

Sorry for the lack of updates everyone. I havent been busy or anything.. ganya malas bah! Nothing exciting to tell! Now, Im gunna recap on what has been happening since Ekka Day:

I sat for Physiological Science I mid semester exam. I havent been to any lectures at all so I was a bit nervous. It turned out ok tho. The paper was quite easy (as in passable hehe).

Then there was Hazeeq's Birthday Party. The theme was traffic lights. You have to wear red if ur taken, yellow/orange if ur not sure and green if ur single. I so love the food at da party: chicken pie, spaghetti bolognaise, fried chicken wings, chocolate cheesecake *yummy yummy* Spent about 5-6 hours there then balik.

The next day, Nate came over to Brisbane and stayed at our place for 3 days 2 nites. He's goin back to Sydney today. Deny is going there also so the place will be a bit quiet. Oh by the way, Deny and Nate made quiches last night. They were pretty good. I'll end dis post wid a pic of the quiches and other pics:

I heart Ekka!!

I had a reaaaaally good time yesterday!!! Deny and I went to Ekka at RNA Showgrounds. It took us an hour to get there cos of traffic. The ticket costs $14.

We first headed to the International Village. It was 4 pm and we havent had lunch. There were a number of food stalls there: Sate`House (Malaysian), Sushi (Japanese), La'Paella (Spanish), Danny’s potatoes (English), Sultan’s kitchen (Indian), German Sausage Hut (German), Dippin Dots Ice Cream and many many more. We ordered Satay chicken with turmeric rice (also served with spring roll) at Sate`House. It was so yummy!!

Then we went to Showbag Pavilion. This is where da showbags are sold. There were so many people in there.. it was mad!! I had my eyes on some stuff but didnt want to buy em yet cos I didnt wanna carry em around. Deny bought an FHM showbag (contents: 2 FHM mags, 1 empire mag, FHM wallet, lentheric deodorant, sports drink, chewing gum, sea world voucher, Nivea for Men Double Action Face Wash , Nivea for Men Deep Cleansing Face Scrub , Old El Paso Tortilla Wraps and many many more). Costs her $15 but the retail value is $85.

Outside the Showbag Pavilion, I bought Strawberry sundae at the Peter's ice cream stall. It is my fave ice cream of all time.

Then we took a stroll in the Sideshow Alley where the rides and games are. We didnt play or ride anything tho. But here are some pics:

We then went to the No. 2 Oval where the Heritage Stage is. Nova Live and Loud sponsored some bands to perform there. While waiting for Grinspoon to perform, we watched Small Mercies on stage. They were pretty good.

15 minutes.. 30 minutes... still no Grinspoon. We were tired of standing and inhaling smokes so we gave up our so-close-to-da-stage spot and went to Woolworths Fresh Food Pavilion. Deny bought a strawberries on stick dipped in chocolate sauce:

After that, we went to Energex Main Arena. We were lucky cos Holden Stormriders has jus started taking the centre stage. The roar of Holden V8 Utes bring the arena alive!! It was awesome. They did a 15 minute routine including two-wheel driving, high-speed crossovers, formation driving and ramp-to-ramp car jumping.

Then the Human Cannonball took place. American Stephanie Smith launched from da barrel of a cannon at 100km per hour and landed on da net safely.

After dat, we went back to the Heritage Stage, still waiting for Grinspoon. It was 8 pm when da fireworks displays were held at da main arena. They werent as pretty as in Brunei tho hehe. Then right after the fireworks, Grinspoon took the Heritage Stage. The crowds went mad and the teeny boppers could not stop screaming. I took a few pics (of Grinspoon not teeny boppers lol):









We stayed at the Heritage Stage until Grinspoon performed Better Off Alone. I rang Chriso so he could hear it. They performed it well.

Then we headed back to Showbag Pavilion. I bought New Woman showbag (contents: a beach bag, 3 New Woman mags, lip gloss, video ezy voucher, Palmer's Cocoa Butter Moisturiser Bottle , fitness first 3 day pass, vege chips, sea world voucher and many many more). It costs $16 but the retail value is $186. I also bought devil head band. It is so cute! Deny bought Dolly showbag (contents: dolly shoulder bag, dolly magazine, mascara, viedo ezy voucher, clean and cleare stuff, supre voucher, movie world voucher, vege chips, body spray and many many more). It costs $16 but the retail price is $100.

On our way back to the bus, we could hear Grinspoon performed Chemical Heart. It was time to go home (Waa big waa!) I cant wait to go to Ekka 2006!!!

Toad dissection

Deny and I went shopping at Harbour Town, Gold Coast today! I love City Beach, bought a pair of Golf Punk jeans and Emily the Strange black top! I also bought Livestrong wristbands from Nike Factory Outlet. One for me, one for my brother and one for my cousin. Deny bought one for herself as well.

Then off to uni =( boo! While Deny was in da library using free internet broadband, I was in the Physiology lab watching my tutor tortured a toad. Yes, he dissected a toad. Poor lil toad was alive. His brain and spinal cord were destroyed (so da toad couldnt feel a thing) but his heart was still beating. First, ma tutor skinned the toad.. he made an incision around the body and then peeled da skin off ouch! And then he made an incision right in the middle of the body to show us the internal organs. I could see da heart beating, da liver, da stomach, some nerves, intestine, gall bladder.. everything!! Then he cut the toad into two right at da waistline (if u know wat i meant lol) and believe it or not, da toad was still alive!! Go toad!!

Deny and I left Gold Coast at 9pm and arrived in Brisbane at 11pm. 2 more days till Ekka whoohoo!!

Sushi Girl

Its sushi day for me today!! After uni (I love ma teacher researcher tutor, he always lets us go half an hour early), I went to Sushi train (chu chu..) in the da city wid deny. We had 3 (or maybe more..) plates of prawn sushis , a plate of 2 avocado seafood boats (Ahh, raw seafood meat.. yucky), a plate of 2 crab salad boats and a plate of 4 avocado and tuna sushis. Then on da way home, we stopped by Sushi Deli and bought 3 rolls of clam and zucchini sushi. It is officially my fave sushi =)
