Lazy Girl's Guide to Fooding
I know how some people only cook for survival (hence the food is tasteless or worse, taste like sh!t), but to me it is not enough. I lack the talent of cooking but I try my best to make them taste good. I really like easy simple food that can be done under 5 minutes and only involves one pan. So here are some of my favourite food to make/cook:
Cheese and crackers
Very very easy! Put cheese on top of crackers (my favourites are vintage cheese and spring onion crackers) and they are ready to be eaten. I swear they fill me up for hours.
Baked tuna pasta
Boil pasta (eg spirals) in hot water for 3 mins, drain the water then add tuna and a dollop or 2 of mayo. Sprinkles some salt and pepper. Mix well then add some cheese on top and put them in the oven until the cheese melts and crusted.
Indomie
I dont think I have to guide you through with this one. But for that extra umph, add a bit of ABC sweet soy sauce and sprinkles some hot chilli flakes. Yumo!
Mashed potatoes
Boil potatoes until they are soft. Drain the water then mashed the potatoes using a masher (fork will do). Pour in full cream milk bit by bit while mixing until the texture looks creamy. Put a little bit of butter in it then add in salt and pepper as much as you like then mix again.
Prawn Frittata
Fry onion and garlic, add hot chilli flakes then add prawns. Beat egg in a bowl, add salt and mix. Add the mixture into the pan and sprinkles some parsley and put cheese on top and voila, eat you heart out!
Nachos
Put corn chips (i like doritos) in a microwaveble container or plate. Add a dollop or 2 of salsa and the same amount of sour cream. You dont have to mix them up. Put cheese on top then put it in the microwave for 3 mins. I love nachos!
French onion dip
In a bowl, put a dollop of sour cream then add in french onion mix bit by bit while mixing them until the mixture is a bit brownish and you are done. You can dip potato chips or wedges in it.. so yummy! The amount of french onion you put in really depends on how french onion-ish you want the dip to be. Note: Get a cheap french onion mix from the stores (I like Homebrand French Onion (soup mix) from Woolies).
I'll post more easy recipes if you guys want to. I am going to try my mum's easy 'Nasi campur' recipe for lunch today. Hope everything goes well! *fingers crossed*
