KFC Craving?

Sorry to say there isnt any halal KFC store in Brisbane and Gold Coast. I emailed KFC Customer Service regarding halal outlets here and this is their reply:

"In reply to your email, Collins Foods Group, being the franchisee for KFC Queensland, have previously looked into selling Halal products but due to the nature of our business have decided not to proceed with this avenue."

Apparently the said halal KFC in Gold Coast is not halal. Now the only way to eat KFC is to go down to Bankstown, Sydney or back home to Brunei...

so sad!

There's Something About....

Guys wearing pink t-shirts.

Today one guy in my lecture class, who happened to sit 2 seats infront of me, decided to wear pink t-shirt to uni. Somehow, I couldnt stop admiring him from behind. He's pretty cute (Most Aussies are!!) but it was the shirt that really attracted me. I am trying to get everyone to wear pink now haha *fingers crossed*

Ahh pink t-shirts look so damn hot on guys. Period.

What To Do...What To Do...

I am in a dilemma..

I woke up at 5 am today and I cant stop thinking about going home. I am contemplating whether to go home in July for a month or in December for 3 months. I got a free return ticket this year so I'd like to use it to my advantage. If I go home in July, I wouldnt be going home in December and vice versa. Here are some pros and cons for going home in July (i.e staying in Aus for the summer holidays):

Pros:
I miss my family.
I miss the food there esp Nasi Katok *hehe*.
I might be able to see Bullet For My Valentine if they are coming later this year.
I can do a bit of travelling during summer.
There's nothing to do in Brunei so a month is enough.

Cons:
I wont be home for summer =(
Everyone is going home - double =(
I might get lonely during summer.
One month ticket is cheaper than 3 months ticket. My ticket is paid for, so why pick the cheaper one??
The next time I'd be going home is December next year.

I suppose I could go home later in December with my own money for a month but I really wanna save cos I might need the money for emergency use. I am going nuts here thinking about this all the time. Tell me your opinion.

I Is Broke

Yep, I am broke!

I only got $40 in my wallet now and that's how much I can only spend in the next 2 weeks till my allowance is out. I blame my brokeness on eating out and retail therapy. I eat out at least once a week, mostly on Monday cos I spend all day at uni and never have the time to go home for lunch, even though my place is 15 mins walk from uni. I usually have lunch at Authentic Asian Delight in Parkwood and Nandos Harbourtown. The waiters, waitresses and chefs at both places know me quite well now *lol* malu eh.. By the way, I am having Nandos for lunch and dinner today *Yay* I am so addicted to the chickens.. I reckon they put some addictive drugs in it, anyone agree with me? =P

Also, does anyone have pre and post exam retail therapy problems? I do this all the time and it does help make me feel better, even though my wallet has to suffer. I tend to buy things that I have no use of at the moment.

Things I have with the tags still on/havent used yet:
B.Star blazer
Bonds hoodie
Miss Shop jacket
Bubblegum shirt
Insight shirt
Girl Xpress top
Diva necklace
Diva bracelet
Smackers Lip Frosting
Sugar Cookie Lip Smacker
Rusty Wallet
Pierre Cardin set
JayDenim jeans

Anyway, can anyone from Brunei find out for me how much Canon Ixus 50 or 55 costs over there? I need a new digital camera as my old Sony Cybershot has low resolution, no zoom function and video without audio. I still love it to bits though.

Well, I am signing off now.. It is going to storm here soon. A huge one...

Severe Thunderstorm Warning

Robina Town Centre

This morning, I felt the urge to go somewhere I've never been to. One thing that came to mind was Robina Town Centre which is 2 zones away from my place. Hell, that place is fucking huge!! I reckon its so much bigger than Pacific Fair! But Pacific Fair has more stores than Robina Town Centre, so thats probably why it is the biggest shopping centre in Queensland.

Movie Mania

I had a long day today! Went to see 2 movies with Aka and Isz: Inside Man and Ice Age 2: The Meltdown.

You all should watch Inside Man! Best movie in 2006, so far! If you liked The Usual Suspects, you'd like this one as well! Clive Owen's performance in this movie is so convincing! He's unpredictable, you just dont know what he is up to!

Ice Age 2: The Meltdown is so much funnier than the first one.. Gotta love the cheeky possums =)

Bunnies Dont Lay Eggs!

Wow time flies so fast, doesnt it?

I was talking to a random when he asked if I got any easter eggs. The last time I had easter eggs was last easter. It didnt feel like it has been a year. That was fun, last year's easter. Deny, Nate and I went to Wet n Wild. We went on one of the rides, not knowing its one of the thrill rides there... hehe good old times! So yeah, I doubt anyone is going to give me easter eggs. I might as well get some for myself. Lindt ones of course *drools*.

I am feeling so much better now. Thanks for all the get well wishes and concerns. The doctor said I am in good health. He still didnt know what exactly was happening to me, but the antibiotics he prescribed to me makes me feel better.. so it could be bacterial infection. He also reckoned that my chest pain is due to my sore posterior c2 rib. It makes sense! It could be from paintball.. but hell I'd still play!!

Its been one hell of a busy week for me. I had 2 exams, a quiz and 2 reports to hand in. I did so-so in my exams, that I'd be more than happy if I passed them. The quiz was alright and the reports were pain in the ass! I am glad that its all over now and I can enjoy my holidays stress-free (I do have 2 more exams after holidays, not forgetting an oral presentation... but I'll just pretend they are cancelled =D)

So here are some plans that I'd love to do during easter hols:

Movie marathon
Go to Wildlife Currumbin Sanctuary
Hang out with Kel on Sunday
Shopping
Go to Seaworld
Watch movie with Nicky
Meet new people

but this is what I have to do:

Write a letter to MOE about my course
Get some sort of permission from uni to change course
Do first aid training
Go to the movies
Hang out with Kel on Sunday
Ring hi-comm to postpone my free flight to November

I am hoping that I'll get to do the things that I want to over the holidays *fingers crossed*

Clueless

I have no idea what is wrong with me the last couple days! I am so drained out of energy which makes me skip uni and lack the motivation to study for my mid semester exam which starts next week.

I went to see a doctor at uni this morning. I told him that I've been getting some symptoms:

chest pain
difficulty breathing
sneezing
internal nose bleeding
dizziness
weakness
bump on my neck

After hearing all that, he went all hyper asking me questions (I could see he loves his job so much)..

Do you have fever?
Are you breathless?
Are you pregnant? (mhmmmm no?)
Do you smoke?
Do you take any medication?

Some questions were asked repeatitively which annoyed me a bit but he's only doing his job..
Do you get sore throat?
Do you feel pain anywhere?

He then said "There's definitely something wrong with you... but I dont know what yet". I was more curious than nervous honestly. He then sent me to the other room to get my ECG done by a female nurse. She asked me if I've done ECG before. I did once back home so I said yes then she asked me to lay down in bed.... topless!

me: "huh? you meant tshirt off?"
nurse: "no, everything off"
me: "bra as well"
nurse: "yeah, I thought you've done this before"
me: "yeah I did, but I didnt have to take off anything, I just lifted up my top"
nurse: "the only way to do ECG is to go topless"
me: "really?" (very confused)
nurse: "yeah, there's only you and me here" (sensing my discomfort)
me: "mhmm ok" (feels so uneasy)

So after the ECG, I went back to the doctor. He read my ECG result and said everything looks good. Well to be exact he smiled and said , "This is the best ECG result I've ever seen". At that moment, I felt really proud of myself. My heart is in perfect condition. Then his smile turned to Im-very-lost look which made me worried a bit. He then told me that he still couldnt figure out what is wrong with me so he asked me more questions which ended with a urine test.

He did a brief check with the urine sample then told me that he'll think of a diagnose for my symptoms and he would like to see me again on friday. In the meantime, I just have to drink plenty of water, not do anything heavy and take the antibiotics he prescribed to me. The appointment lasted for an hour.

Today is officially the most suckful day so far - my mysterious health problem, the nightmare I had last night and the bad news I've received. I hope everything works out fine for everyone.

Come on Friday, the suspense is killing me!

Birthday Boys

Happy 22nd Birthday Isz!! Happy 21st Birthday Wan!! Went to their birthday party at Wan's place in Parkwood. As usual, Ben and Isz picked me up from home. I wish I had a car!!! It is so convenient. We arrived at Wan's house at 7pm. I like his house - its huge and close to Coles, 7-11 and Blockbuster. Plus he got a pool!!! His room was so much neater than mine haha Bet he cleaned up the mess before I got there! I met up with my ex-housemate when I lived at Metro Labrador, Fatin. It was nice catching up on things with her. We had some food then entertainment by none other than Wan who sang a few songs. Haha I loved it when he sang Walk the Line! His voice is so much better now... honest!! Then we had a couple games before we headed home at 11pm. We had to go home early cos we got 8 am lecture tomorrow. Bloody lectures on Monday!!

Anyway, just wanna wish Happy Birthday to the boys - Hope you see many more =)

Thinking that the Mt Tambourine trip was postponed, I slept really late last night. Then at 8am, Isz texted me about the trip and that I have to be at uni at 9am. I got confused cos last night Chucky told me it was postponed to Sunday. Nevertheless I went to take a shower, got dressed and arrived at uni at 9am (I did all that under an hour... Im so goooood!). I saw Chucky and asked him whats going on... turned out he was talking about the party not the trip to Mt Tambourine.. ahh communication failure on MSN!

The trip to Mt Tambourine was alright. I love the scenery there.. so gorgeous! First off, we looked around at the Gallery Walk. Then we went hiking a bit to see the waterfall at Joalah National Park. After that, we had wine tastings at Cedar Creek Estate Vineyard & Winery. Then we went back to Gallery Walk and had lunch at one of the restaurants there. I had tasty cheese and potato pancakes... yummy! For an hour, we walked around the Gallery Walk. I like the buildings there, they are so cute and different! Our last stop was the botanical garden. Everyone wasnt too happy to be at the garden, its only a bloody garden, whats there to see?? so we headed home as soon as we got there.

Piccies...
