Say My Name
2 days ago, when I was cooking honey chicken for lunch, I had a lil chat with Tom and Djohn in the kitchen. The boys are always out and about when I am in the kitchen but strange enough, when I am in my bedroom, everyone is in their own bedroom too. Mum reckons durang mengintu aku memasak. hehe sounds about right! This kinda annoys me though because I dont like to cook with people around, watching me and my mediocre cooking skills.
Ok, back to the lil chat, Djohn and Tom were wondering about my real name. So, I told them that I got a long full name and all they need to know is Dee is short for Diyana. Then Djohn said, "Diyana is a good name, very popular, you know like Princess Diana". I think I've heard this zillionth times already, hehe. Then he asked, "so what is your chinese name?". Eh? I looked at him in disbelief, then looked at Tom and we both laughed. "I am not chinese". Wow, I couldn't believe I've lived with this guy for more than 2 months and all the time he thought that I was chinese. Whatever gave him that idea eh? Firstly I dont talk 24/7 and I dont go cau cin cau.
So, I corrected him and told him that I am from Brunei. As usual, the first thing that came to his mind was the rich sultan. Then from that, we talked about the rich middle eastern people. Tom was like, "How could you spit into a gold sink??" haha, these people are freaking rich. Then we talked about Tom's red hair (He is a natural redhead, hehe. I think it is cool cos it is hard to see redheads in Australia) and guessing everyone's age. Damn, I am not the youngest in the house!
Oh by the way, I wanna wish Happy belated Birthday to Mai whose birthday was on the 27th April and to Ben and Tom who share a birthday on the 29th April. Also, Happy advanced Birthday to Rara on the 4th May. I hope I dont miss anyone's birthday. If I do, dont stress. Let me know and I will put your name up on my birthday list, hehe dont you feel priviledged? =P
