Happy Birthday Ben and Tom :)

Oh noooo, I wrote a very very long post for this and they just disappeared :(

So here it goes again...

Sam, my landlady, came over to our place yesterday. We talked about water restrictions, fire and general stuff. Gold Coast is on water restriction level 5.. might not make any sense to you, but this means 4-minutes shower, no external use of water (only allowed to use grey and recycled water to water the plants and a bucket of water to spot clean the glass, lights of the car). Crazy much? Times like these make me appreciate water more. I am glad Brunei is blessed with many water resources.

Later yesterday, we went to Ben's place to give him a surprise birthday party (his birthday is today actually). Luckily he was out at Jason's place so we came at perfect timing. We set the table up for the cake, prettify his present, wrote him a song and rehearsed everything. While waiting for him, I was playing Halo on xbox when suddenly we heard his car engine roared. We panicked.. switched off the xbox, turned off the light, lighted up the candles and got into positions. He came in with Jason, saw the cake.. looked up and saw us. We then gave him a hell of a show - his birthday song complete with guitar shit hehe.

Happy Birthday to you Ben,
Tomorrow's your day,
Do you wanna have a lap dance,
We can bring you some.

Today is your day,
Your day,
The day to get laid,
To get laid,
To get laid,
With some Aussie bun.

Remember Ben,
We are your friend,
Your Hung Hung gang,
Till the end.

It really was a pretty cool song. I hope Isz caught everything on his camera.

Ben was touched and gave everyone a hug. We had cakes, pizzas and Nasi Briyani, which I missed eating, thanx to the xbox. Actually, the whole surprise party was our Plan B. Plan A was to take him to a strip club and get one of the girls to lap dance for him, but due to unavoidable circumstances, we had to go on Plan B *tsk tsk*

Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEN and TOM who are turning 24 and 20 respectively today :) Eat many many cakes hehe.

Oh speaking of cakes, have I told you about my super duper nice neighbour? He (or maybe his wife) likes to bake cakes for us. A few days ago, he gave us 3 huge cakes - they are all over the fridge now. They are strawberry, fruit sponge and not sure about the other one. The last time, he baked us cheesecake hehe Many many thanx to him :)

Shopping bags

I was cleaning my room this morning then I realized one corner of my room is cluttered with shopping bags.

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

Usually I use them as my rubbish bin bags or threw them out but other times when I am lazy, I just shoved them into the corner. So, I straightened them up and made a tally to see where most of my money has gone to and…..

City Beach 12
Diva 6
Jay Jays 6
Myer 5
Giordano 4
Mambo 3
Jeans West 2
Adidas 2
Bras n things 2
Williams Shoes 2
Nike 1
Just Jean 1
Jb HiFi 1
Cc music 1
AWOL 1
French Connection 1
Oroton 1
Emily the strange 1
Sheridan 1
David Jones 1
Etc etc Gazillions

…City Beach tops the list. Maybe I should try to NOT go in there so I can save some dosh?

Anyway, I am just wondering what you do with your shopping bags. Some of them are just too damn nice to be thrown out. Ahh dilemma..

To end this post, here's my lava lamp.

Me :)

I got this from Ruza :) I think it's cool too hehe

Yesterday I got lucky again hehe. I was talking to my ex-housemate Slav last night. He is seriously the best person I've seen with card tricks. He showed us a few card tricks and honestly, I couldnt think of any way how he did it. Sold his soul to the devil maybe? hehe Apparently he's been doing it for 6 years... it's actually his job. At the moment, he's working at Draculas. How cool is that? Ok here's the part about me being lucky... he said he could get me in for half the price of the ticket. The ticket costs about $75-$80 depending on the day. Quite exy but the show seems amazing! Might take up on his offer :) At the end of the day, he taught us one card trick :) Gotta practise so I can fool all of you :P

Lucky

I've had at least one lucky encounter daily since Saturday...

Saturday - I got a free knife in Woolies. There was a short demo on this forever-sharp knife and everyone who was there was given a small knife. Deny and I got the same knife 2 years ago in Woolies hehe.
Sunday - Went into Nike store 15 minutes before the happy hour ended (Happy hour: 30% off storewide). Feezal was the last person to get the discount. At the checkout counter, I was checking out the Nike bands on the counter then the checkout boy told me to take it as it is free. If I wasnt playing around with the band, I am sure he wouldnt tell me that its a freebie =\
Monday - I was supposed to meet up with my groupmates, Ericka and Lea at 1pm but somehow they wanted to meet earlier. When I got there (I was late), they've done pretty much everything already and all I have to do is put the stuff up on powerpoint hehe easy peasy :) Later that day, it was raining heavily and Feezal and I were at the bus stop waiting for... you guess it, the bus :P Then my landlord spotted us and gave us a free ride to Australia Fair *Yay*
Tuesday - They say you cant be lucky more than 3 times in a row... they are wrong!! We went to Australia Fair (again) and saw Isz and Ben. Ben gave us a ride home. Thank you Ben :)

See, I am afterall a lucky girl hehe. We'll see whats gunna happen tomorrow :P

Oh btw, I bought a lava lamp *Yay Yay* I've always wanted one :)

Sorry

Replying to Mea's latest post, it was not our intention to make you stressed out and cry.. so so sorry =\

But really, if you see it from my perspective, it was quite funny hehe. Anyway, thanks for letting me know the closing time at the Butcher. We bought sausages all the way from Chinatown. Crazy much? hehe. The sausages in Gold Coast is twice the price over there.. pretty exy for poor uni students like me.

Apart from that, we also went to Queen St. I love the shops there, especially Myer. We dont have Myer here.. the only Myer store is in Pacific Fair which is quite far *boo hoo*. Anyway, I bought a chocolate scented bunny which smells like....... chocolate!!! hehe Also got myself an FCUK top. Somehow I like the FCUK store in Sydney more. They got better and nicer things there.

Ok, moving on to today, we went to Harbour Town. It is definitely my favourite place to shop now. They got a new building now meaning more shops *Yay*. Mainly, I was shopping for Deny. Got her 4 Purr tops and a Guess bag. Me, on the other hand, only bought one Purr top, one Emily the Strange top, junk food and Esprit quilt cover set. I am in love with Purr and Emily the Strange tops. They are oh so comfy and got cool motifs on it.

Well, I better go now. My bed is calling me... I am leaving you all with a video clip of our hotel in Sunshine Coast..

Vroom vroom.....

Ladies and gents, introducing Rufio...

He's much cuter in person really.. the flash makes him look sick.

Anyway, my class for this week is over!! I've been working my ass off this week doing my organic chemistry lab report and studying for the fortnightly organic chemistry quiz. Both, which I think, I did pretty good :) So as to reward myself, I am going to Brissy today *whoohooo*

Ohhh... on the way home yesterday from uni, we heard a loud bam from across the street. Apparently, a girl got mad at her boyfriend and got out the car, slamming the door when the light was red. The boyfriend asked the girl to get in back into the car but the girl refused. When the light went green, the boyfriend accelerated at the corner and lost control hitting the lamp post. The post bended down, luckily didnt hit any cars. Then the boyfriend got out of the car, manually maneuver the car out of the road, as he couldnt start the engine. He was acting like nothing happened, while everyone on the road watched in disbelief (it happened during peak hour). The girlfriend was watching the whole thing too but left once she saw the boyfriend was still alive. So not cool!

Vrooom, vroom, squeeeel, screech, oh shitttt.... wham!!
Weoweoweoweo....

Chermside

OK, I am not suppose to blog at the moment because I have a report that is due this Thursday. Busy busy week. Long story short, I went to Chermside with Mea, Ranald and Ehsan 2 days ago. After that we went to RNA Showground (there was a designer clothing sale), then Queen St and lastly 1001 Nights. The steak was goooood!

I stayed over at Mea's place that night then the next morning we went to Harbour Town, along with Azim and Yil. Also met up with Isz, Hjh and Feezal there. I didnt do much shopping since I had to buy some groceries. There was so many foodstuff we bought that we had to take a taxi to go back home.

Once we got home, we decided to make sushis for dinner. The sushis were yummy :)

As usual, pictures are in My Photobucket under "Brisbane - April 2007"

Thanx to all the Brissians for the fun days :) Thanx Mea and Ehsan for letting me stay at your place.

Sunshine Coast

I had a good time in Sunshine Coast. The place where we stayed, Mantra International Beach Resort was awesome. The 2 bedroom spa suite has 2 single beds, a queen bed and 2 bathrooms. We got an in-room spa as well, complete with kitchen, laundry room and a balcony with full ocean view. Mooloolaba is breathtaking. It's worth going there.

On the first day of the trip to Sunshine Coast, we went to Australia Zoo. It took us about 4 hours to get there.. blame the shitty public transportation. Anyhow, Australia Zoo was awesome! I got to pat a koala, feed a sheep, pat a roo, etc etc. Kinda wished that Steve Irwin was there though *tsk*.

We checked in to our hotel at night. The place was so so amazing. I like it there more than Surfers Paradise. Even though there were many people, the place was still relaxing. No shouting, no drunk youths... it was just perfect.

The next day, I woke up early and took a walk around the area. It was 7 am and already many people were up doing their morning exercise. The cafes were open early too. I am guessing the people there are morning people...like me :) Waaa... thinking about it makes me wanna move there hehe.

We checked out before 10am and had morning drinks at Starbuck. Then we walked 10 mins to Underwater World. Underwater World was smaller than I thought but still worth the money. I got to see the Giant Squid which was frozen. It was cool :) I also got to touch the starfish.. it reminded me of Patrick in Spongebob Squarepants hehe. Anyway, since the place was quite small, we did the whole tour in shorter time compared to when we were in Australia Zoo. There was a game arcade there, so we ended the day playing some games. It was fun :)

I highly highly recommend going to Mooloolaba in Sunshine Coast. I soo wanna go there again...

Before you started nagging me for pics.. I've uploaded some in my photobucket under "Sunshine Coast" :P I got 750 pics + vids excluding the ones from Isz's camera hehe (only uploaded about 200) So vain eh?
